Reduce presentation file sizes with NXPowerLite 3
Presentations containing Perspector images or other images can grow quite large. This can be a problem if you are storing lots of presentations, or when you want to share them by email or via the internet.
To reduce the file sizes of your presentations, we recommend NXPowerLite. This handy tool from Neuxpower Solutions can be used to compress PowerPoint presentations either from within PowerPoint or by dragging a file onto the NXPowerLite icon on the desktop. Version 3 can also compress Word documents and Excel spreadsheets.
We've tested NXPowerLite with presentations containing Perspector images. In each case the quality of the compressed presentation was no different from the quality before compression. The reduction in file size varied depending on the style of the image.
Below are the results of compressing a few presentations. Each presentation contained 1 slide (shown below) with 1 Perspector image on it. Compression was performed using NXPowerLite 3.0.2.

Presentations can be compressed even more if there are other pictures in them. We have been using NXPowerLite for a while to compress our User Guide presentations by between 45% and 55%.
